As a native South Memphian and musician, Michael Cowan brings a deep cultural connection and commitment to preserving the legacy of Memphis Slim Collaboratory. Drawing on his extensive experience in education, government, and community development, along with proven success in grants management and organizational systems, he will strengthen the Collaboratory’s role as a hub for creativity, revitalization, and community impact.

As Vice President of Memphis Slim Collaboratory, Corliss Shaw, Esq. contributes her two decades of legal and entertainment industry expertise to strengthen the board’s ability to support Memphis’ creative community. Her knowledge of the legal landscape for artists and performers ensures the Collaboratory remains a trusted space where gigging and emerging musicians can grow their craft and careers.

As a board member of Memphis Slim Collaboratory, Jason “Da Hater” Harris contributes the perspective of both a legacy Slim House artist and an active community mentor. His unique voice in Memphis’ hip-hop culture, paired with his leadership as a Whitehaven High School coach, enriches the board’s ability to stay connected to emerging talent and the broader community it serves.
